Flesh and Blood is a competitive trading card game designed by James White and published by Legend Story Studios, where two players face off in one-on-one combat to the death. It blends fantasy and science fiction themes, focusing on direct, tactical battles rather than summoning creatures or units.

Core Concept

In Flesh and Blood, each player controls a single hero from the world of Rathe, starting with their hero card, weapons, and equipment already in play. The goal is to reduce your opponent’s life total to zero through strategic use of actions, attacks, defenses, and equipment. Unlike many TCGs, the hero remains in play throughout the match, and all combat decisions are made directly by the player.

Gameplay Overview

• Players: 2 or more (often 2 in competitive play).

• Age Range: 16+.

• Play Time: Under 50 minutes.

• Chance: Low (organized play).

• Format: Two main formats — Blitz (40-card decks) and Constructed (60-card decks).
